The "Blind" spot and how the replacement mirrors eliminate it.

Run your mouse over the photo to see before and after photo. (You must have java enabled)

This is a photo of the original ///M mirror from the drivers viewpoint looking towards the right. I parked my Sonoma pickup on the road in the same place that an oncoming car would be at a regular traffic intersection. I am 5'11" tall and the stock ///M mirror creates a blind spot for me that completely covers a car in this area. The "after" photo is a smaller mirror mounted to the BMW windshield lug with my mirror mount adapter. This mirror has a pivot on both ends of the stem that allows you to position it up higher to eliminate the blind spot.

The same photo, but in reverse order. ( So that non-java browsers can see both photos.)

This is a photo of the rear view as seen through the small mirror from inside the car with the top up. It was taken from eye level at the drivers seat. This demonstrates that the new higher position of the mirror still allows you to see the rear view with the top up.
